AED – Defibrillator Training Course
The fact is, AED’s (Defibs) save lives. Research shows that if you can get a Defib to a casualty within 3 minutes, the success rate goes up from about 6% without defibrillation to a staggering 75%.
All our Defibs give clear instructions on how they should be used. That doesn’t always mean that people will rush to use them. Our experience has shown that people sometimes need a little bit more confidence before they are comfortable helping a casualty with a Defib.
Luckily, our sister company, STS First Aid, has been teaching people how to use a defibrillator for over 25 years. Our 4 hour AED – Defibrillator training course focuses on the initial management of sudden collapse and safe use of a Defib. By the end we hope to have given trainees the theory, practice and most importantly confidence to operate a Defib should the need arise.
